  i know an elder who once opened a prayer like this:.

  "jehovah!

  this is xx-congregation speaking..." .

  Needless to say; the other elders had a little talk with him later that evening. But today he serves as a circuit overseer...

  Name Some Trivial Things That Are Big Deals To JWs

  so many things come to mind to show how silly jws sound in reality.

  for example, being allowed to pass the microphones is a big deal, especially to a young brother.

  or being given the "privilege" of cutting the grass or working on a "quick-build" is really something special to a jw.

  Sitting besides a friend of the oposite sex at the meeting.

  Saying "you too" or similar of someone says "Happy new year!" to you.

  I'll do the same thing I did last time the elders demanded a meeting with me.

  Me: No thanks I do not feel like going to any meeting whith you guys.

  Elder: Yes we realy need to have a meeting about your present standing.

  Me: No we don't

  Elder: Yes we do

  Me: No we don't

  Elder: Yes we do

  Me: No

  Elder: Yes

  Me: No

  Elder: Yes

  Me: Listen to me. If you threat me and say you will df me if I don't agree to have a meeting with you I will show up. But then it will be just because of your threathening. Without any threats you can't possibly get a meeting with me. You need to threat me to get me to a meeting with you guys.

  Was The Ministry Ever Rewarding To You?

  The ministry was rewarding only once as I can remember.

  The occasion was when me and my best friend discovered a beautiful young nude woman posing in front of a group of artist painter pupils trou a basement window during our monday evening ministry service session. It was dark outside, but very bright lightning inside, so we had to pass that window v e r y s l o w ly several times while the woman constantly changing posisions.

  Other than that ministry was hour collecting for conscience purposes only. In fact I was a kind of ashamed because of the extraordinary lousy magazines.

  i was talking to a good friend of mine that is an ex-jw and we were having coffee the other day when he told me of one of his good friends that killed himself because the elders publicly "reproved" him.

  i felt so bad when my friend told me of this horrible story but he said there are many cases of jw's committing sucide before they are df'd or da'd or publicly reproved.

  did you know of any jw's that killed themselves before or after being kicked out of the wt?
